KanCare: Medicaid for Kansas

KanCare is a Medicaid program administered by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS). KanCare assists families, adults with disabilities and the elderly in receiving and accessing medical care. The program has three options (plans) for Kansans to choose from to receive necessary health care including: doctor’s visits, vaccines, lab services and dental care among others.  

Kansans must apply for KanCare and must meet certain eligibility criteria.
